Things to be Aware of with Direct TV specials...
Leased Equipment
All equipment is leased and not owned! If you decide to disconnect your account or any receivers, they must be returned to Direct TV. If you fail to return receivers, you will be charged a non-return fee for each receiver!
Local Channels
Local channels are not available through Direct TV Specials in all areas, but are available in the majority of the US. When you place your order, you will be informed if they are available or not.
Whole-Home DVR
The Whole-Home DVR service is a must have if you have several HD TV's in your home! You have the option to view recordings from your HD DVR on a HD receiver in other rooms of your home. Get the most with Direct TV Specials and watch recorded shows in other rooms with your HD receiver and even delete and schedule programs.
Commitment
When you install Direct TV equipment in your home you are agreeing to a prorated 24 month commitment. If you decide to disconnect or cancel the service before your first 24 months, you will be charged! The agreement states that if there is a credit card on the account, that it will be charged for the remainder of what's owed on the commitment.

You can save lots of money by taking advantage of the Direct TV rebate, but there are a few things you need to be aware of so you don't get surprised with a higher than expected bill! It's important that you redeem you rebate before equipment installation so your credit starts with your first bill. If you submit your rebate after installation, you will have to wait six to eight weeks before it shows up on your bill and it must be submitted within 90 days or you will loose the rebate entirely.
